Fascinating article. I’m attempting to quantify media bias myself, but the hard fact is that BIAS SELLS!
Personally, I think the only way to deal with it is to help viewers to clearly distinguish what is hard news versus editorial opinion. With that said, editorial SELECTION is the most vexing issue. News outlets decide what aspects of the news to PRESENT, and can influence public opinion in subtle-but-powerful ways in doing so.
